It's kind of like a lease with an option to buy at the end. You have lower monthly payments because you're not paying off the full value, and then you can return it, finance the rest, or pay it off.

From my experience, the discounts are baked into the prices you see. Don't expect to add an extra coupon on top though, that's not how they usually work. But the initial pricing is usually very competitive.

What's the deal with delivery fees? Do they charge extra for shipping the car to your house, or is that usually included?

I think it's called 'Überführungskosten'. It's usually a separate charge. It covers getting the car from the factory or port to you. Not usually included in the main price listed.

Yeah, there are definitely Überführungskosten. And home delivery itself might be an extra on top of that, or sometimes part of it. It's not automatically free from what I remember.
